Greenfield Now Holds Two Historic Scoring Records

5/1/15

Breaking Marquette's single season scoring record this past season with 52 points (34g, 18a) would be almost any player's career-defining individual accomplishment. But for Jordan Greenfield, occupying spots in record books is nothing new.

In 2009, Jordan broke the ISL scoring record with 106 points, and also broke the league's assist record in a season, with 68. By the time his playing career ended at Rivers, he had broken the school's career goals, career assist, and career points records, with 95, 143 and 238 respectively. He earned All-American recognition for his play in 2010, becoming one of only two Rivers boys lacrosse players to receive the award.

Greenfield played his first four years at Fairfield, where he tallied a total of 53 goals and 17 assists. With one year of eligibility remaining after his senior year at Fairfield, Greenfield went west to pursue a graduate degree, and landed at Marquette University.

It is unclear whether his formal playing days have concluded, or whether professional lacrosse may lie in his future. Whatever he decides from this point forward, one thing is clear, he seems to make history wherever he goes. If any professional teams need a lefty attackman, it'd be hard indeed to take a pass on such a player.
