Rivers' Trevor Davock '15 Named to High School All-American Game

Trevor Davock ’15 has been a challenge for opposing defenses for the better part of four years, earning the ISL’s Offensive Player of the Year Award and All-American recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in 2013. This fall, Trevor has again led the way for the boys’ soccer team and has earned an invitation tothe 4th Annual High School All-American Game.

2014 Lawrence Academy Boys Soccer Wins 2nd Straight ISL Title

After working their way out of a 1-0 hole, the Lawrence Academy varsity boys' soccer team claimed their second straight ISL title on the strength of a 4-2 win over the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights on LA's home pitch in Groton, MA.

Goals by Shawn Suzuki '15, Mbongeni Tshuma '15, Paul Schnebly '15, and August Martini '17 gave the squad the chance to lift the Gummere Cup in consecutive falls as they prepare for the New England tournament.

Roxbury Latin's Leon Brown '10 Sits Atop the College Soccer World

Leon Brown ’10 dazzled Roxbury Latin soccer fans for six years with his quick moves, remarkable instincts, and uncanny ability to put the ball in the back of the net. He routinely tormented opposing ISL goalkeepers and led the Foxes to multiple tournament appearances. Soccer fans throughout the area quickly learned of Brown’s talent, and many expected him to shine at the next level.

Maclaine Lehan '14 and Trevor Davock '15 of The Rivers School Named NSCAA All-Americans

Two Rivers athletes earned All-American distinction from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for their play this fall. Maclaine Lehan ’14 and Trevor Davock ’15 were each recognized on Nov. 18 during the weekly all-school assembly by Director of Athletics Jim McNally.
 
Maclaine adds the NSCAA All-American honor to her list of accomplishments alongside the 2013 Independent School League (ISL) Defensive Player of the Year award and a NEPSAC Class B Championship. This is the second consecutive season in which Maclaine has won the Defensive Player of the Year award, completing a two-year run in which Rivers allowed just nine goals and completed two undefeated regular seasons.
